Horizon Communication Group has been appointed by the Department of Finance to the Government Communications Campaign Panel, as well as announcing new hires.

Award-winning, independent strategic communication agency, Horizon Communication Group (Horizon), has been appointed by the Department of Finance to the Government Communications Campaign Panel.

The appointment was the result of an extensive, competitive process which resulted in Horizon being selected as one of four communication agencies in Australia to be nominated as part of the Panel.

The three-year appointment will see Horizon develop and implement a wide range of public relations services for major federal government campaigns.

Justin Flaherty, CEO, Horizon Communication Group, says, “I’m immensely proud that Horizon has been entrusted by the Australian Government through the Department of Finance to assist with these very important campaigns. We look forward to delivering successful, critical campaigns that positively affect many Australians.”

To further support growth and client delivery, Horizon has promoted long-time Associate Director, Gabby Brigden, to the role of General Manager. Since joining Horizon in 2011, Gabby has managed several Australian Government campaigns and been integral to the success of the business.

Horizon has also made two new appointments. Renee Singh has joined the team to bolster its ongoing growth in the sustainability, waste, environment and manufacturing sectors. Conor Nastasi also joins the team as Account Coordinator. Conor will support Horizon’s delivery on Australian Government campaigns.

“We are excited to have Renee and Conor join our dynamic team at Horizon. Renee brings with her extensive experience in integrated communications, behaviour change, executive counsel, crisis communications and media management. Conor has just started in the industry and will also bring fresh perspectives,” added Mr Flaherty.

Mr Flaherty concluded, “It’s a truly exciting time to work at Horizon. We are rapidly building on our Government and business to business expertise and are excited to see the further growth of our sustainability and environmental practice. We are growing fast and looking to add more exceptional consultants to our team, the work we do and the success we achieve is testament to the skills and dedication of our team.”
