Singapore hosted a ceremony on 9 May to honor the mCareWatch, a personal emergency alarm smartwatch, for its role in helping seniors live independently.
The 2024 World Ageing Festival was the perfect setting for this recognition.
The Innovation Awards were held during a weeklong event called “ageing” and included the top 100 products in several categories, including Technology, Home & Community Care, and Assistive Living.
The festival, which Ageing Asia hosted, showcased innovative products and services and attracted more than 5,000 attendees from the business-to-business and business-to-consumer sectors.
The theme for this year, “Redefining Care: Activating Communities of The Future,” resonated deeply with mCare Digital’s mission.

From its inception as a heartfelt idea to assist their ageing father 11 years ago, mCare Digital has journeyed through passion, innovation, and commitment.
Today, the mCareWatch stands as an internationally celebrated solution, empowering the elderly across the Asia Pacific to live with dignity and independence.
Peter Apostolopoulos, Co-Founder of mCare Digital, accepted the award in Singapore. He expressed his pride in the team’s achievement, saying, “This award is a milestone for mCare Digital and a moment of profound pride for our team.”
“It validates our unwavering dedication to innovation and our mission to enhance the lives of the elderly,” he adds.
“We are deeply honoured to receive this recognition and are inspired to continue our work in redefining assistive living technology.”
Being included on the shortlist with other great technologies like the AGEasy by Antara Senior Care (India) and the eAlertCare System by Guardman Products Limited (Hong Kong) was an honor in and of itself.
But coming out on top shows how serious mCare Digital is about helping people of all ages, including the elderly, people with impairments, and those looking for answers for their own personal safety.
While this honor was bestowed upon assistive living technology, mCare Digital is steadfast in its dedication to assisting individuals with disabilities and those who fear for their safety, whether in situations involving domestic or family abuse or solutions for staff safety.
They are even more committed to helping others in need due to this recognition.
