Reverb Media has announced the appointment of former senior finance journalist Rebecca Thurlow as a Content Strategist to accelerate growth in its specialist financial services content offering.
Rebecca is responsible for providing content strategy and delivery for Reverb Media clients across the financial services and corporate sectors.
She brings more than 20 years of experience in journalism, most recently at The Wall Street Journal, where she held various senior roles including News Editor and Senior Reporter.
Reverb Media founder Keith Barrett said the appointment reflects the firm’s emphasis on adopting the highest journalistic standards in its content offering:
“Coming from a background in publishing and journalism, I’m passionate about building out the best financial services content team in the country. At Reverb, there are no juniors behind the scenes writing client copy – only experienced financial services journalists.
“Rebecca’s world class media and communications experience will mean that as we grow, we will continue to produce platinum standard content that engages and inspires our clients’ customers and investors and helps them become a trusted voice in their industry.”
Rebecca joins Reverb from communications agency Honner where she was a Senior Writer for five years, advising on and producing content for global and local asset managers, wealth managers, financial advisers, fintechs, trading platforms, and the big 4 banks.
She began her career with a cadetship at The Sun-Herald before moving to Australian Associated Press and then Dow Jones Newswires.
Rebecca will help to further build out Reverb’s established specialist financial services content business, which has an array of clients including Active Super, Adviser Ratings, the Customer Owned Banking Association, First Nations Foundation, and Police Bank.
Other Reverb clients in the financial services space have included Schroders, Netwealth, CommSec Adviser Service, the Financial Planning Association, Class Ltd, and CountPlus. The latest hire follows the appointment of Account Director Jasmine Turvey and Social Media Coordinate Jenna Ridgway last year.
Paulo Rizal is a content producer for Comms Room. He writes content around popular media, journalism, social media, and more.
