According to a recent report from Semafor, Microsoft is trying to integrate a quicker version of ChatGPT, known as GPT-4, into Bing in the upcoming weeks in an effort to make the search engine more competitive with Google.
The news follows Microsoft’s recent announcement that it will pour a “multi-year, multi-billion-dollar” investment on its partnership with OpenAI.
Individuals knowledgeable of the situation say speed is the primary distinction between OpenAI’s ChatGPT and GPT-4. GPT-4 is is said to answer questions far more quickly than ChatGPT, which occasionally takes up to a few minutes to formulate a response.
The most recent software is also believed to provide responses that are more thorough and human-like.
It is anticipated that the planned integration of ChatGPT into Microsoft products will bring new competition to the heavily Google-dominated internet search market

Instead of just showing a list of links, Bing could respond to queries with human-like responses if it used GPT-4.
According to Semafor, OpenAI also has future plans to release a ChatGPT app for mobile devices.
Since ChatGPT only has a web version at the moment, adding a mobile version will enable OpenAI to increase the software’s user base by making the program easier to use.
The source also claimed that OpenAI plans to test a new function in Dall-E, its well-known image-generating program, which will create films using AI.
Although the addition of GPT-4 to Bing would put Google’s hold on the internet search market in jeopardy, the company reportedly stated that it would not introduce a ChatGPT rival since it poses a higher reputational risk than startups like OpenAI.
Additionally, it is said that Google officials told staff members that they do not believe chatbots are ready to take the position of search.
