Twitter trials new simplified boost feature for tweets

Twitter trials new simplified boost feature for tweets 1200x628

Twitter looks to have introduced a brand-new in-stream boost feature for tweets, which offers a quick and simple way to advertise a post without needing to start a full ad campaign.

It is important to note, however, that since Twitter no longer has a communications division, there is no official way to get a confirmation on the most recent changes and features of the app, their availability, etc.

The new boost option would be accessible directly from a tweet, as shown in the Social Media Today report of screenshots uploaded by Jonah Manzano (and reposted by Matt Navarra).

A user could immediately boost a tweet by tapping through the boost option and choosing a budget.

With fresh images and a new user interface for boosting a tweet directly from the details screen, the technique is somewhat similar to Twitter’s Quick Promote option but is considerably more streamlined.

According to early reports, this is a new Twitter ad procedure that can offer an additional means of establishing an objective, a spending limit and fundamental targeting criteria in order to reach a larger audience within the app.

Depending on how well the new tool performs, there may be some tweets that a user just wants to boost and send out to more people without starting a whole campaign.

Based on the streamlined launch procedure, it might also be a worthwhile experiment to see what results you get and a smart way for Twitter to make a few extra cash from advertising.
