Siobhan McKenna, Chair of the Board of Foxtel Group, has been named as the new Chair of the Australia Post Board for a term of three years.
McKenna is also the Managing Partner at Illyria Pty Ltd and an Independent Non-Executive Director at Amcil Limited. She was also a partner of McKinsey & Company.
Moreover, the new Australia chair has served on several company boards including Woolworths Group Limited and Nova Entertainment.
McKenna has served in public office previously as the Chair of NBN Co Limited and as a Commissioner for the Australian Productivity Commission.
McKenna’s extensive background in the media, communications, and telecommunications fields equips her with invaluable commercial, strategic, digital, and technological expertise.

Australia Post will benefit from McKenna’s expertise, leadership, and experience as it modernises and adapts to meet changing consumer demand.
McKenna’s appointment comes after her predecessor, Lucio Di Bartolomeo, stepped down at the conclusion of his term on 21 November 2022.
Di Bartolomeo – along with Andrea Staines OAM served as Interim Chair of one of Australia’s most esteemed public organisations.
Through the challenges and parcels boom of the COVID-19 epidemic, Di Bartolomeo led the Board in helping Australia Post to continue to supply postal services.
Minister for Communications Michelle Rowland said, “Australia Post forms an important part of Australian society, supporting communities, businesses, and our economy, and we are committed to ensuring it continues to deliver for every Australian.

“The appointment of Ms McKenna and her extensive experience in corporate governance will help support this treasured national institution in achieving these important outcomes. I acknowledge Mr Di Bartolomeo’s service and wish him well.”
“The Government looks forward to working with Ms McKenna and the senior leadership team at Australia Post,” Rowland said.
Minister for Finance, Senator Katy Gallagher also welcomed the new appointment and acknowledged Di Bartolomeo’s contribution to the Australia Post.
“Australia Post has always been a driver of economic activity for small businesses and continues to deliver essential services to all Australians, particularly in regional, rural and remote Australia,” Gallagher said.
“I welcome the appointment of McKenna and thank Mr Di Bartolomeo for his years of service to Australia Post.”
