Elon Musk has said that he will resign as Twitter CEO once a replacement has been found.
However, he will continue to lead some departments inside the company.
Musk said on a tweet, “I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams.”
Considering the disarray surrounding Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, some investors have wondered if he is too preoccupied with the social media company to effectively manage Tesla Inc., where he is personally involved in production and engineering.

After a poll the billionaire posted on Twitter in which users overwhelmingly voted for him to leave as CEO, this is the first time Musk has publicly discussed leaving his position.
Of those surveyed, roughly 17.5 million (57.5%) said “yes” to him stepping down as Twitter CEO.
Musk had already declared that he would accept the verdict.
He has not said when he will step down, and no one has been named as his replacement.

Twitter’s privacy policy revisions and the suspension and reactivation of journalist accounts garnered criticism from media outlets, advocacy groups, and European government officials, and the poll results rounded off a hectic week.
The calls for Musk to stand down from leading Tesla have been rising on Wall Street for weeks, and even Tesla bulls have begun to wonder whether or not his preoccupation with Twitter is distracting him from his primary responsibility of operating the company.
Musk has admitted that he is overextended and will be hiring his own replacement.
Although he announced that “no one wants the job who can actually keep Twitter alive,” implying that he had no successor.
